Description
The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement for installation of a control cable by direct bury and installing conduit into various buildings located at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, Kalamazoo, Michigan. All work will be in strict accordance with the specifications, drawings and contract provisions to provided when the solicitation is mailed. Payment and performance bonds will be required after award. The NAICS code is 23599. Approximate mailing date of the solicitation is November 8, 2002. Price range is between $90,000 and $120,000. Potential offerors may request a solicitation package by faxing your name, address, phone number,point of contact and the solicitation number to Maggie Gillespie, AIM, FAX 847-294-8050. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportati! on (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
