Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: NA Headquarters, Operations Support Command (OSC) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) DAAA09-02-B-3008, for the purchase of services for packing, containerization and local drayage of personal property shipments for Blue Grass Army Depot, as a 100% s mall business set aside. This project requires the contractor to furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, and services, except for some Government-furnished containers, for the preparation of personal property of military members and civili an employees for movement or drayage and related services. Contractor shall provide services for outbound, inbound, and intra-city moves. All moves will take place in 4 geographic areas consisting of 15-20 counties each, in Kentucky and Ohio. NOTE: All firms interested in bidding must have access to warehouse facilities which have been inspected and approved by the Regional Storage Management Office. Information on the approval process can be obtained from Transportation Officer, Blue Grass A rmy Depot, 2091 Kingston Highway, Richmond, KY, 40475-5115. A pre-bid conference will be held with prospective bidders at Blue Grass Army Depot. This conference will take place approximately 3 weeks after the IFB has been posted to the web. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR). If you are not registered in CCR, you cannot be awarded a DOD contract. You may register via the Internet at http: //www.ccr.gov. The IFB will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website, http://acquisiton.army.mil on or about October 21, 2002. Interested firms are invited to submit bids after this solicitation is posted to the web.
