Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, United States & Foreign Commercial Service (USFCS) Intends to negotiate with Alaskan Star Interactive of Miami FL on a sole source basis for development and enhancement of the existing USFCS Market Research Library, USFCS Trade Services Directory, USFCS internal Internet based web applications, USFCS trade lead and USFCS online single company promotion programs. The USFCS is the worldwide client service delivery arm of the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, operating over 100 U.S. Export Assistance Centers (USEACs) domestically and approximately 175 Commercial Offices in 78 countries overseas. The contractor shall create an Internet-based database featuring an automated dissemination system, using email, to "push" relevant data to clients based on client profiles and enabling USFCS internal users to populate the database via the Internet from offices worldwide and USFCS clients to conduct intuitive searches for USFCS market research, trade leads & service provider data via an Internet browser with an internet-based aggregated statistics area enabling USFCS senior management to track database activity, provide secure database hosting with redundant systems, 24/7 support and minimum T1 bandwidth and provide high-end intuitive user interface design and individual database records that can support pictures, graphics and logos. It is contemplated that a firm fixed priced contract with base and (4) four option years will be awarded. This notice of intent if not a request for competitive proposals. No telephone inquiries will be honored.
