Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the dockside repairs of USCGC CHASE (WHEC 718), a 378-foot high endurance cutter homeported in San Diego, California. All work shall be performed at the cutter pier side, during the period from 30 December 2002 to 21 February 2003. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about fifteen days from the date of this synopsis. Bidders are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items include: production control, Gantt bar chart (DS) provide; reduction gear accessory drive gear, renew; and boiler renewal. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
