Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about approximately 01 December 2002. Reference SOLICITATION NUMBER N68335-02-R-0331. The solicitation will appear on NAVAIR HOME PAGE www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/ . The requirement is for a Shuttle Assembly, Part Number 614776-31 Rev V. NSN 2995-01-475-9866. Quantity of 4. with an option for four additional units. The shuttle is a steel frame that provides a direct connection between the launching piston and aircraft. The shuttle is connected to the launching pistons by mating dogs that tightly fit into similar mating dogs on each launching piston connector. The shuttle is supported and guided during movement by eight rollers which fit into a track formed by installed trough covers. The shuttle is a flight critical item. The specifications for the Shuttle Assembly are subject to Export Control regulations and will only be released to firms who are certified with the DLSC for receipt of military critical technical data. It is requested that all interested parties submit a current completed and certified DD Form 2345 (Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement to NAWCADLKE Contracting Office. Configuration Management per MIL-STD 973 is required. Higher Level Contract Quality Requirements. First Article testing required. Inspection and Acceptance at source. FOB to NAWC, Lakehurst, NJ. Delivery due 18 months after date of award. This solicitation is Unrestiricted. Contractors must be CCR registered. The Government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price type contract using the best value method of evaluation. The drawing package will be available after the solicitation is posted on the web.
