Description

The government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type Purchase Order for Xerox copier maintenance in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 'Test Program for Certain Commercial Items' (CLINGER - COHEN), with 100% full and open competition. The Period of Performance for the resulting Purchase Order will be from 01 November 2002 through 30 September 2005. The resulting contract will be from the date of award for one year with two (2), twelve-month option periods. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811212, and the corresponding Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7629. The contractor shall provide for the maintenance service of Government-owned Xerox Equipment as required by U.S. Naval Air Station, Keflavik, Iceland. This service shall include maintenance, parts, tools, test equipment, supplies, labor, and travel to maintain equipment in operating order, at no additional cost to the Government. The contractor shall provide unlimited service from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (federal holidays excluded) and two-(2) preventive maintenance's per year. On-site response time shall be within four (4) business hours after service call placement. Detailed specifications and delivery requirements will be specified in the solicitation. All responsible sources must submit pricing and past performance data by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the Solicitation available by downloading the documents at the FISC Norfolk Website: http://www.nor.fisc.navy.mil/contracts/solicitations/default.htm or at http://www.neco.navy.mil. This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, or debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote.
