- Sources Sought: Provide professional architect/engineer services wo= rk for Project 508-325 =93Renovate 10th Floor for Patient Ward=94 VA Medical Center Atlanta, Decatur, GA. Services include phasing recommendation, planning, consultation and visits, design work, asbestos abatement plans, health care architecture plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, preparation of contract drawings and specifications, preparation of cost estimates and construction period services as necessary for demolition, construction, inspection, testing and certification of all at the Estimated cost range of construction is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. A/E will be required to provide evidence of professional liability insurance of $1,000,000. Architect-Engineer firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit: (1) a Standard Form 254, Architect =96 Engineer and related Service Questionnaire, (2) a Standard Form 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Service Questionnaire for Specific Project, when requested and (3) any requested supplemental data to the procurement office shown. Firms responding to this announcement before the closing date will be considered for selection, subject to any limitations indicated with respect to size and geographic location of firm, specialized technical expertise or other requirements listed.=20 Following an initial evaluation of the qualifications and performance data submitted, three or more firms considered to be the most highly qualified to provide the type of services required, will be chosen for negotiation, Selection of firms for negotiation shall be through an order of preference based on demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the type of professional services required, that include: (1) Professional-capabilities; (2) specialized experience and technical competence, as required; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in the required time, cost control, and quality of work: (4) past performance record on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This factor may be used to adjust scoring for any unusual circumstances that may be considered to deter adequate performance by an A/E.; (5) geographic location and facilities of the working office geographic area: architect engineer firm must be located within 150 mile radius of work site to be considered; (s) which would provide the professional services with the area the project is located; (6) Demonstrate success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design. 7. Inclusion of minority owned consultants and/or woman owned consultants(s). This A/E is un-restricted, the NAICS code is 541310, Architectural Services Size Standard is $4 million.
