- Description
- The proposed contract is anticipated to be sole source to General Electric. NSN: 2840-01-480-4614PR, Part Number: 1465M95G11, Noun: Combustion Liner. Item Description: A convoluted Duct with rows of Aspiration holes circumferentially staggered axically with 4 rows of exteriol hangers. The function of the liner is to direct the flow of fan discharge air to cool the inner surfaces of the Exhaust Nozzle and insulates the Exhaust Duct from the exhaust gases. The dimensions are 40 inches long, 40 inches in diameters. The material consists of INCO 625 Nickel Alloy. Appl: F110-129. Destination: FB2039. Quantity: It is anticipated that this solicitation will include ranges. The BEQ at the current time is 28 each. Delivery: 29 FEB 2004. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 6 November 2002. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 6 December 2002. The anticipated award date will be 28 FEB 2003. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
