Description
NA CONTACT James Novotny, Electronics Engineer, (732) 427-4342. The Department of the Army intends to solicit Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, IA, for depot maintenance repair of the five versions of the Receiver-Transmitter Sub-Assembly (RTSA). They are NSN : 5820-01-437-8859 and NSN: 5820-01-437-8866, as well as Rockwell part numbers 622-8411-020, 622-8411-010, and 622-8411-001. The RTSA is part of the AN/GSQ-240A(C) Radio Set (JTIDS Class 2M Terminal). The contractor will be responsible for turning the no nfunctional unit received from the Army Depot into a unit which meets the most current operational form, fit, and function of the RTSA as called out by applicable technical data. Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs) do not exist for the RTSA. It i s expected that this Repair Contract will have a not to exceed ceiling price of $490,000.00. This will be a time and materials type contract. Parrties interested in competing against Rockwell for this Repair Contract shall submit written documentation to the POC indicated below. This documentation shall demonstrate that the interested party has the ability to repair the item to the latest configuration baseline. The Government does not possess the configuration baseline data, repair procedures, or techn ical data, etc. for any of the five RTSA versions. To the Government's knowledge only Rockwell Collins has this data and these procedures, although BAE Systems Aerospace Inc., Wayne, NJ may have this information/expertise as well. Interested parties must also demonstrate that they can begin repairing RTSAs by 01 Feb 2003. All inquiries may be directed to James Novotny, (732) 427-4342.
