Description
The Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for 15 each diesel generators. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M00146-03-Q-3305 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09 (b) and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-27. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business and is under the North American Industry Classification System code 333618, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract, BRAND NAME OR SIMILAR for diesel generators, P/N YDG5500EE w/ RSYDG55. Brand name designation: Yanmar portable 5.5kw diesel generator with remote start/stop system. Quantity: Fifteen (15) each with the following specifications : EPA certified; Air-cooled; Open frame type; Electric Start; Excitation System, Self-Excitation; Frequency, 60 Hertz; Output AC, Max. (kVA) 5.5 Rated (kVA) 5.0; Output DC, V-A 12 V 8.3 A; Rated Voltage, 120/240 V (AC); Rated Current, 41.7/20.8 A (AC); Voltage Control System, Automatic Voltage Regulator; Rotation Speed 3600 rpm; Number of Phases, Single Phase; Number of poles, 2; Bearing Type, ball bearing (seal type); Output receptacle AC 125V 30A Twist Lock 1 ea and 125/250V 20A Twist Lock 1 ea; Output receptacle DC, 250-10; Grounding Terminal 1 each; Protective Device, Stop device for when oil drops below the safety limit; Generator Size, length 28.4 inch, width 18.9 inch, height 22.8 inch; Generator dry weight 238 lb. Required for safety: The generator must be diesel fueled. The generator must have Remote starting and stopping with low oil pressure automatic shutdown. Remote start/stop panel to have controls for starting and stopping, generator runtime hour meter, and genset running indicator light. The starting batteries shall be acid charged, oil shall be added. The units shall be test run prior to delivery to check all operations. Along with your quote I will need your delivery date, terms of payment, and federal tax ID number. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request for Quotation to the technically acceptable, responsive, responsible offeror based on price and delivery alone. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers - Commercial Items (Oct 2000). FAR 52.212-3 Alternate I, Offer Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items (April 2002), a completed copy of this provision shall be submitted with the offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (Feb 2002). FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (May 2002), to include clauses (11) (12) (13) (14) (15) (16) (21) (24) and (26). DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (Nov 2001), applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b); DFARS 252.206-7000, Domestic Source Restriction; DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program; and DFARS 252.225-7012, Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities. The request for quote is to be priced FOB destination. Request for quote must be received no later than 4:oo PM, local time, November 12, 2002. You may Email or fax your quote to the above. All quotes not sent through the US mail will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried quotes (excluding Email and faxes) must be delivered directly to Cunningham Street, building 159, first floor, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC, Contracting Department. Direct delivery of quote is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. As of 31 May 1999, all Contractors must be registered in the Central Registration (CCR) Database as a condition of contract award. Contractors may register in the CCR database through the World Wide Web at www.ccr.gov or call 888-227-2423 for assistance. See note 1.
