- Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repair of USCGC OSPREY (WPB 87307) 87? Patrol Boat, homeported in Port Townsend, Washington. All work shall be performed at the contractor?s facility, during the period of 09 April 2003 and complete 21 May 2003. . Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about the November 06, 2002. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, skeg structural modifications, appendages, (under water) leak & air test, appendages (under water) preserve, internal, haul plating, u/w body inspect, exhaust port hull plating renewal, propulsion shaft seals mechanical overhaul & inflatable renewal, propeller clean/inspect, propulsion shaft external bearings renewal & check clearances, fathometer transducer general maintenance, seal valve (<=2.5 inches), sea valves (>2.5 inches), rudder inspect an repair, anchor windlass level 2 overhaul, deck coverings (interior wet) repair/reseal, temporary services, drydocking. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
