Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responses to this solicitation/Request for Quote (RFQ) must make reference to Solicitation Number F04693-03-T-0006 and be submitted by the close of business 6 Nov 02. This acquisition is set-aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Code (NAIC) associated with this requirement is 334290, Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size of 750 employees. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. Los Angeles Air Force Base has a requirement for: Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001: A mobile, self-contained speed display unit that detects and displays the speed of oncoming traffic to include: 18? LED display screen, solar panel, a violator alter that flashes speed that exceeds speed limit, 1 axle lock, 1 speed sign rack, a tamper alarm, the ability to be programmed to show no speed if the vehicle exceeds a pre-determined limit, a traffic statistics package, and a cover for when the equipment is not in use. The statistics package shall include a windows based program that gives statistics on such things as number of cars, speeds of cars, the ability to graph results and any hardware required, such as a palm top computer, to allow for information to be transferred to a PC. Quantity for CLIN 0001 is 2 each. Items to be delivered FOB (Free on board) Destination to 225 Columbia Ave, Ste 15, El Segundo CA 90245.
