Description
Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home AFTER December 1, 2002. Please note that this date is an ESTIMATE only and not a firm solicitation issue date. From the Gateway homepage, select Search RFPs from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and specialty metals (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. Jumper, Man's, 100% Polyester, White, SH 3006 in accordance with specification MIL-J-87037D dated July 31, 2000, pattern dated December 27, 2001. This is a Best Value Source Selection Procurement. A technical proposal is required and will include the submission of a Product Demonstration Model, Past Performance information, Bill and Hold Plan, and a DLA Mentoring Business Agreement Plan. This will be an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract containing a one year base ordering period plus four additional one year term ordering options. The guaranteed minimum ordering quantity is 190,288 each and the maximum ordering quantity is 285,424 each. This acquisition will be set aside exclusively for Small Business participation. All materials used in fabrication of the item are to be furnished by the contractor. See numbered notes (1), (9), and (26).
