Description

The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI)Schuylkill, located at Minersville, Pennsylvania, has a requirement for contract Pharmacy Tech. services at FCI Schuylkill. The service is to be provided on site. Services will be required for a one-year base period, with the possibility of two one-year option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government not to exceed a total of thirty six months from the date of award. The Government intends to make a single award for this requirement. The estimated quantity for each twelve (12) month period of the contract is 360 one-hour sessions. The tech. will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in daily routine, placing orders, conduting inventories, record keeping and pill lines. Contractor shall hold at a minimum, a high school diploma and have either a certificate of appropriate training for Pharmacy Technician services and/or one year minimum experience as a Pharmacy Technician. A security investigation/clearance is required. The solicitation will be available on or after October 31, 2002, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award. The requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
