Description
The FAA, New England Region currently has a requirement for the installation of a motorized and electrically powered davit crane with base assembly, and OSHA modifications at the Airport Surveillance Radar facilities located at four sites: Boston, Massachusetts, Nantucket, Massachusetts, Chester, New Hampshire and Coventry, Rhode Island. The work shall include but is not limited to: installing a Government Furnished davit crane, winch and all associated hardware; all necessary wiring per manufacturers recommendations; removal of the existing monorail and davit crane, removal of certain handrailing, providing and installation grating support structural steel and new handrailing and installation of 50-60 square feet of grating with trap door and removable railing. This project is estimated between 100,000 - $250,000. Performance time is 15 calendar days per location. Offerors must offer on all four locations to be responsive to the solicitation. The government anticipates awarding all four locations however, based on the funding available at the time of receipt of offers, The Coventry, RI project may not be awarded. Pre-construction meetings will be held at all locations at a date to be determined. Solicitation packages will available on or about October 25, 2002. The closing date will be on or about November 27th. Performance and Payment Bond are required. There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee required for the solicitation package. All checks must be made payable to the Federal Aviation Administration.
