Description
The USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to contract with the incumbent USCGC HEALY Main Diesel Engine support contractor, Northrop Grumman Corporation, to provide training support for the New Sulzer Diesel 12ZAV40S, four stroke, medium speed diesel engines currently installed onboard the vessel. Training shall be specific to installed main plant equipment and shall require a detailed working knowledge of the shipboard hardware and software configuration as well as complete access to OEM proprietary data and support. Following are the three training sub-CLINs projected for incorporation into the existing contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation: (1) Main Diesel Engine - Training involving hands-on operation and maintenance practices on all primary and auxiliary systems associated with the engines. (2) Turbocharger - Training shall involve comprehensive hands-on operation and maintenance practices for the ABB turbochargers installed on the HEALY main diesel engines. (3) Woodward 721 Governor Control - Training shall involve operation and maintenance practices in all primary and auxiliary systems associated with the governor controls. Attention: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, (DBEs) ! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
