Description
The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN, is soliciting for the services of an Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm to provide services for Project No. 583-03-1010, =93Install CT Scanner=94.=20 Design work entails providing the necessary design services to ensure that the existing room, originally set up for a CT scanner, is prepared and ready to house a new VA-furnished Philips MX8000 IDT CT Scanner System. Design work includes architectural, electrical, and mechanical services. All work will be in accordance with current VA design guidelines, standards, and requirements, as well as NFPA, ASHRAE, JCAHO, and local/Federal codes. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, (1) Preparation of complete construction drawings and specifications within funding limitations, (2) Preparation of detailed construction cost estimates at the various design review stages, (3) Construction period services, and (4) As-Built drawings using the current version of VA-compatible AUTOCAD program. Design reviews shall be submitted at the 35%, 75%, 90%, and 100% design stages for VA review and approval. Estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is set aside exclusively for emerging small businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 541310 and the small business size standard is $4.0 million in average annual gross revenue/receipts for the last 3 fiscal years. "Emerging small business" means a small business concern whose size is no greater than 50 percent of the numerical size standard applicable to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to a contracting opportunity. In addition to the evaluation factors listed in Numbered Note 24, the following selection criteria will be used: (1) Reputation and standing of the firm and its principal officials with respect to professional performance, general management, and cooperativeness, (2) Record of significant claims against the client because of improper or incomplete architectural and engineering services, and (3) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project and their record of working together as a team.
