- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AIR FORCE SECURITY FORCES F49642-03-R-XXXX The Air Force Directorate of Security Forces is requesting information for a potential acquisition to acquire security forces support in several functional areas, at locations across the continental United States. Currently, Air Force military and civilian employees perform these functions and the Air Force is considering conversion to contract performance. Pursuant to federal law change, possible select security guard functions, to include armed guard positions, may be considered for contract. Air Force Security Forces provide full spectrum protection across the ground dimension of air and space operations through the synchronization of integrated base defense. Security Forces personnel enforce laws and security standards; secure Air Force property, provide personnel and information security; protect and defend Air Force assets and interests; and maintain order and discipline in support of Air Force missions throughout the world. Air Force Directorate of Security Forces functional areas of support include: Pass and Identification/Vehicle Registration: Issues ID cards, vehicle decals and temporary vehicle passes; Visitor Control: Issues visitor and vehicle permits; Administration and Reports: Processes incident reports, performs background checks, performs action for debarment, suspension, revocation, and reinstatement, performs trend analysis and analyzes reports; Information, Industrial, and Personnel Security: Manages information, industrial, and personnel security programs; Training and Task Certification functions: Performs initial, recurring, and Just-In-Time security guard and policy education and training; Security guard functions: Provides armed and un-armed guard services to include investigation of alarms, complaints and suspicious circumstances, provides protection to personnel, resources and facilities, enforces traffic rules and regulations and participates in training and exercises. Request contractors interested and capable of performing these functions submit the following information: name and address of company, company point of contact, telephone number, fax number and email addresses, identify business size (small, disadvantage, HUBZone, women owned, 8(a), etc) and identify if you are a GSA schedule holder. For purposes of this Request For Information (RFI), the SIC Code is 7381 and the corresponding NAICS code is 561612. The capability package must be clear, concise, complete, and submitted to the contracting office no later than 25 November 2002. Please limit the capability package to 20 pages. The packages can be submitted by US mail, e-mail or fax. Please indicate your company?s ability to provide security forces support 1) Air Force-wide, 2) by Major Command, 3) by geographical region, or 4) by installation. Your statement of capabilities must include, as a minimum, the following items: 1) Contract references in the past five years relevant to the requirement to include: contract number, agency supported, whether or not you were a prime or subcontractor, period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value, technical monitor and phone/fax number, POC with current phone/fax number, and a brief description of the effort. 2) Company profile: number of employees, annual sales history, locations, security clearances? DUNS number, cage number and if CCR registered. This is a request for information only, to support market research and help define potential courses of action. The Government is under no obligation to and will not pay for any costs associated with submission of the capability packages, nor is the Government committed to issuance of a solicitation.
