Description: NA The item to procure is an air compressor for use on the Shop Equipment, Contact Maintenance (SECM). The SECM is a mobile shop set on a HMMWV chassis. The air compressor shall have the following features: Actual air output of at least 6.3 SCFM at 100 PSI, 2 HP electric motor included, noise level at 1 meter will not exceed 85 DBA, input voltage 230 volts three-phase, rated for continuous operation, and weight not to exceed 80 pounds. A detailed drawing/description of purchase will be provided as an attach ment to the solicitation. The Request for Proposal will be issued under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The estimated date of issue is 30 Oct 02. Deliveries are FOB destination. The acquisition is anticipated to result in the award of a 5 year Indefinite Delivery In definite Quantity contract (IDIQ) with a minimum quantity of 90 each and a maximum quantity of 1500 each over the five years. The minimum guaranteed quantity of 90 each will be ordered concurrently with the award of the contract. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); hardcopies will not be provided.
