- NA Furnish all planning, supervision, labor, equipment, material, replacement parts, supplies and all things necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Tennessee ? Tombigbee Waterway, Mississippi and Alabama. Work to be performed includes a base year plus four (4) one year option periods. These facilities include 7 large campgrounds, 6 beaches, 1 National Historic Landmark, numerous picnic areas and boat ramps, 10 locks and dams, 9 gated spillways, Tom Bevill Visitor Center, Waterway Management Cente r (WWMC) near Columbus, MS, Jamie Whitten Historical Center, The Bay Springs Site Office/Visitor Center, several maintenance compounds, and numerous wildlife management areas. In addition, the Contractor will be responsible for maintaining the navigation channel, 14 Hydromet river/rain gage data sites, 8 radio repeater tower sites, & park gatehouse ADP systems, disposal areas, riprap slopes, earthen slopes, bendway blockage structures, flow structures, drainage structures, grade stabilization structures, v ehicles, boats, equipment, grassed and landscaped areas, wastewater treatment facilities, pest control, aquatic plant control, operation of receptionist desk, visitor center, renovation of recreation facilities, cleaning services, and storage and disposal of hazardous and/or toxic material. Award Fee contract will be awarded with performance to begin on/about 01 October 2003. The solicitation will be available on or about 28 October 2002. A pre-proposal conference will be held on 21 November 2002. The N AICS code is 56121 (SIC code 8744) and the size standard is $23 million. (average (3 last year) annual gross revenue). The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium wh en it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. Therefore, Offerors, (to include subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms) are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet and download the solicitation at the following Internet s ite: http://www.sam.usace.army.mil/sam/ct. NO TELEPHONE, FAXED OR MAILED request will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list.
