Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision to replace valley railway bridges no's 440 and 456. The work will include repair of deteriorated concrete abutment walls, removal of deteriorated concrete superstructure slabs and corrugated metal pipes, installation of precast concrete slabs and box culverts, installation of new cast-in-place concrete curb walls and bearing, placement of rock stone protection, removal and replacement of track (crossties and ballast), and raise, line and surface track. NAICS code : 234120. The small business size standard is $28.5 million. Estimated price range of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Project performance time is 75 days after notice to proceed. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with specifications and drawings will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 11/7/2002. No hard copies of the solicitation package will be mailed or issued. To receive the bid package you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
