- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, is seeking sources to provide Inconel cylinders. Characteristics of the cylinders shall be as follows: Material: Inconel 718 Dimension Envelope: 8.60 in Max height by 3.76 in Max outer diameter including weld. Threads for valve are .625-16 UN-2B. Technical Requirements Temperature: -65 to 165 degrees F Pressure: Working 3000 psi Proof 5000 psi Burst>10000 psi Minimum Volume: 58 Cu in. Charge/discharge rate: 400 psi/min. Ambient Temperature: 70 +/- 5 degrees Misc: Cylinders must be non-magnetic. 100% inspection required Fabrication, testing, and cleaning of the cylinders shall be in accordance with Drawing 53711-5762179. This drawing will be provided to all interested parties that provide their e-mail address to the contract specialist l isted below. Interested firms shall respond within 30 days of this Sources Sought Announcement with complete and detailed documentation showing the company's product and capability as detailed above. Only potential prime contractors should respond. A list of responding potential prime contractors will be furnished to potential subcontractors upon request only in the event of formal procurement. Direct expression of interest in providing the required equipment and supporting documentation should be addressed in writing to Ms. Mary F. In the event that a solicitation is developed, it will be assigned a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) number and the announcement will be publis hed in the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) and Federal business Opportunities (Fed Biz Opps). Responses to this sources sought should be send to the address stated above not later than 22 Nov 2002. This announcement should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
