- Description
- NAICS Code: 8139 The Environmental and Protection Agency (EPA), intends to award a sole source contract to Dale Jorgenson Associates, located at 1010 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, Ma 02138 to provide technical support services that include, but is not limited to constructing an internationally comparable time series of inter-industry transaction tables for China to provide information on the output and input of energy by sector of the Chinese economy. The purpose of these tables is to identify the sources of the dramatic energy conservation that has taken place in China over th past two decades and to provide the basis for these policies to reduce future greenhouse gas emissions and other emmissions of other pollutants. The analysis shall be conducted in collaboration with the National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing and shall extend existing official statistics on industry outputs and energy convervation. The time series of inter-industry transaction tables will cover the period 1981-2000, beginning with China's first benchmark table for 1981, continuing with the benchmark tables of 1987, 1991 and 1998-2000. This work will be reported in a series of analytical reports, documenting the data sources and analyzing the sources of energy conservation in China. This is not a request for quotes/proposals. All interested parties can e-mail their capabilities statement to gardner.arza@epa.gov, or fax your responses to (202) 565-2562 within 15 days after the date of this posting. Consideration of responses is solely within the descretion of the government, generally for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. (See Note 22).
