Description
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has a requirement for federal research library services as follows: 1.) On-site cataloging of books, reports, and serials using OCLC and EOSI (formally called Data Trek) software 2.) Managing the OCC?s library circulation system using the EOSI circulation software system. The cataloger must have the following educational requirements: 1.) Master?s degree in library science, including at least one course in cataloging, from an American Library Association accredited school; 2.) A minimum of two years experience in cataloging; 3.) A working knowledge of OCLC as demonstrated by at least six months of hands-on OCLC experience; and 4.) Knowledge of Library of Congress (LC) classification and machine-readable cataloging rules, 2nd version (AACR2). The interlibrary Loan Technician must have 1.) At minimum a high school diploma; 2.) A working knowledge of both the OCLC database and the EOSI circulation system or similar automated circulation system. Both positions are part-time, and the work will be performed at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency?s (OCC) headquarters in Washington, DC. The OCC will evaluate Qualifications of key personnel, past experience and past performance. The proposed contract will be a firm-fixed price, labor hour contract. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued using Full and Open Competition Rules. Solicitation #CC-02-HQ-R-0043 is anticipated to be released on or about August 6, 2002. The RFP and accompanying documents will be made available for download at www.fedbizopps.gov. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) to be considered for award of contract.
