Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. Incorportated provisions and clauses are in effect through FAC 09. NAICS Code is 561720, Size Std. 14.0M. Schedule of Items 01 Base Year Period 12/01/02 to 11/30/03, 02 Option Year 1, 03 Option Year 2. SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT: MT. SHASTA RANGER DISTRICT This portion of the contract is to perform janitorial services as outlined in the specifications below for the Mt, Shasta Ranger District, Mt. Shasta, CA. The total area to be serviced includes seven buildings: Main Office, Timber Bldg., Fire Bldg., Engineering, Cadastral Bldg., Cookhouse, and Fire Fighters restrooms. MCCLOUD RANGER DISTRICT: This portion of the contract is to perform janitorial services as outlined in the specifications below for the McCloud Ranger District, McCloud, CA. The total area to be serviced is the Main Office and the Fire Suppression Office. The Conference Room Bldg. will be cleaned once a month. GOVERNMENT/CONTRACTOR-FURNISHED SUPPLIES: The Government will furnish toilet paper, hand soap and plastic bags for the disposal of wastebasket contents as needed. He/she shall indicate services performed each workday on a checklist provided. The Contracting Officer?s Representative (COR) shall be notified of supplies needed at least two weeks in advance. The Contractor will furnish all cleaning supplies and materials other than those listed above. PREWORK CONFERENCE: Prior to commencement of work, a meeting will be requested by the Contracting Officer to be attended by the Contractor, the Contracting Officer or other authorized representative, and other Forest Service personnel. The meeting will be held at one of the District Office?s at a time and place mutually agreeable to the Contractor and the Forest Service for the purpose of discussing work schedules and to thoroughly review the scope of this contract. WORK STANDARDS AND CONDUCT: All work under this contract shall be performed in a skillful manner. Services performed each workday shall be indicated on a checklist provided. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining satisfactory standards of his/her employees? competency, conduct, appearance and integrity. The Contractor shall prohibit his/her employees from disturbing papers on desks, open desk drawers or cabinets, or the use of telephones or other office equipment provided for official Government use, leaving Government building unlocked or using any Government employee?s property. TIME SCHEDULE: The various phases of janitorial work shall be carried out at the frequencies indicated in the PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE below. All janitorial work shall be accomplished on a regular schedule outside of business hours to avoid interference with Government business. Business hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., seven days a week, during the summer, (approximately 6/01 ? 9/30) and 8:00 A.M. to to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday during the winter (approximately 10/01 to 5/30). Services will be performed weekly on Saturday Or Sunday in all offices. The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within [5] calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed.
