NA POC: MSG Jeffrey Earle, Contracting Officer, (302-323-3474). e-mail jeffrey.earle@denewc.ang.af.mil, or Ms. Dana Danna, Contract Specialist, (302-323-3546) e-mail dana.danna@denewc.ang.af.mil The Delaware National Guard is soliciting bids for the install ation of 5,230 SF of new standing seam metal roof and framing system. The framing will primarily consist of cold form framing but will include some structural steel at the location of the new overhangs. The structural additions also include three columns to support the overhangs. The roofing system that will go over the framing will consist of metal decking, rigid insulation and the standing seam metal roof. The project involves minor mechanical and electrical work in support of the roof installation. Also, site work is involved to tie the roof drainage system into the site storm lines. There is one additive bid item 1 (Additional Line Item 1) if funds are available: Exterior Restoration, re-point remaining fa?ade, replace sealant caulking on wall expa nsion joints, miscellaneous repainting of existing exterior painted surfaces, and pressure washing exterior surfaces (brick and masonry). The estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance period is 120 days following notice to proceed. A public bid opening will be on Monday, DECEMBER 2, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the USPF-P C/o 166 LS/LGC, 2821 Park Drive, New Castle, DE 19720-1615. A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit is scheduled for NOVEMBER 19, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Delaware Air Na tional Guard Base, Civil Engineering Office, Bldg. 2803, New Castle, Delaware. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH THE INTERNET at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil The solicitation documents will be made available on or about NOVEMBER 7, 2002. NOTIFICATION OF ANY CHANGES TO THIS SOLICITATION (AMENDMENTS) SHALL BE MADE ONLY ON THE INTERNET. It is the bidders responsibility to check the internet web-site daily for changes to the solicitation, plans, specifications or site visit informa tion. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238390. The applicable small business size standard (to be considered as a small business) including affiliates is not more than $12 million average annual revenue for the previous th ree years. All interested, capable, and responsible contractors are requested to send a written response to this announcement on company letterhead to be placed on the plan holder list stating business type: size as large, small, WOSB, 8(a) or minority own ed small business to USPF-P, C/o 166 AW/LGC, 2600 Spruance Drive, New Castle, DE 19720-1615. This solicitation contains a Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZONE Small Business Concerns, per FAR Clause 52.219-4. The solicitation will result in a constru ction contract, which will require performance and payment bonding. This will result in a firm fixed price award based upon a responsible and responsive lowest bidder?s offer. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED.
