Description

NA The purpose of this work is to rehabilitate and paint tainter gates at Lock & Dam 5 on the Arkansas River. This work will involve the following: repair and replacement of structural steel members (skin plate T-ribs, braces, etc.); replace side seal assem blies (steel angles, rubber seals, bolted fasteners, gaskets, etc.); blast-clean and paint 15 tainter gates, 30 gate hitch blocks, and 15 machinery platforms; clean and regrease 30 gate hoist machine gears; install anodes for cathodic protection; replace g rease fittings and regrease 30 hitch blocks; and blast-clean and paint 26 60-foot stoplogs. THIS JOB IS UNRESTRICTED. THE MAGNITUDE IS $1,000,000 TO $5,000,000. ISSUE DATE WILL BE ON OR ABOUT NOVEMBER 15, 2002, AND PROPOSALS WILL BE DUE ON OR ABOUT DECE MBER 16, 2002.
