Description

The USDA Common Computing Environment (CCE), which includes the tri-agencies of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), the Farm Service Agency (FSA), and the Rural Development (RD), has a requirement to purchase a Veritas Government Enterprise Agreement (VGEA) for Backup Exec Windows NT/2000 Software and NetBackup DataCenter Software. The VGEA will be used to upgrade the native backup software applets within the current MS Windows 2000 server operating system/office automation environment of the CCE. The NRCS Information Technology Acquisition Team (ITAT) intends to solicit and negotiate with a limited number of General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule Veritas-authorized resellers under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations or proposals. However, all responses received by the response date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by FAX or email to the listed point of contact.
