Description
NETL is announcing that, pursuant to 10 CFR 600.8(a)(2), and in support of advanced coal research to U.S. colleges and universities, it is conducting a competitive Program Solicitation Number DE-PS26-03NT41634-00 and plans to award financial assistance grants to qualified recipients. Applications will be subjected to a merit review by a technical panel of DOE subject-matter experts and external peer reviewers. Awards will be made to a limited number of applicants based on: the scientific merit of the applications, application of relevant program policy factors, and the availability of funds. Through Program Solicitation DE-PS26-03NT41634-00, the DOE is interested in applications from U.S. colleges and universities, and university-affiliated research centers submitting applications through their respective universities. Applications will be selected to complement and enhance research being conducted in related Fossil Energy programs. To accomplish the program objective, applications will be accepted in three program areas: (1) the Core Program, (2) the Innovative Concepts Phase I Program, and (3) the Innovative Concepts Phase II Program. Each of these program areas have specific Focus/Sub Focus Areas of Interest to which applications must be submitted. Interested parties are advised that availability of this program solicitation is limited to this electronic medium and distribution will not be made via diskette nor in paper copy. All communications concerning this program solicitation shall be made through the IIPS system under the Program Solicitation Number DE-PS26-03NT41634-00.
