- Description
- Provide all necessary A/E services for Project #692-03-106, entitled =93Experiential Learning Program=94 at the VA Domiciliary, White City, Oregon, in accordance with the A/E scope of work. This project is to renovate Building 222 Lower South to create space for the Experiential Learning Program. Work includes renovation of approximately 3500 SF of existing space to create classrooms, office space, reception area, storage and resource areas. Existing sheet vinyl flooring containing asbestos is to be removed. Mechanical work to include renovation of existing large bath/shower room into a men=92s restroom, women=92s restroom and a mechanical room with new HVAC system. The building electrical system will be updated to include a new service from the transformer to building panels to support the new HVAC system and appropriate circuits for the new construction. A/E Services will include Phase I that involves preliminary investigative services and design development; Phase II, which involves the preparation of construction documents and drawings in electronic format; and Phase III will involve construction period services during actual construction. Evaluation factors to be considered will be (1) Specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts; (2) Past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) Proposed design approach for this project: Proposed design philosophy, anticipated problems and potential solutions; (4) Proposed management team; team organization for conceptual, design, and construction phase; ability to meet project specific design deadlines; Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to this project. (5) Geographical location and facilities of the working office; (6) Other: Techniques planned to control the schedule and costs, personnel responsible for schedule and cost control, estimating effectiveness of the 10 most recently bid projects, AutoCAD 2002 capabilities, internet accessibility, past litigation involvement, etc. Area of consideration restricted to small business firms located within the State of Oregon. NAICS Code: 541310 and the size standard is $4.0 million. Estimated construction cost range is between $100,000 to $250,000. Firms interested and desiring consideration shall submit Standard Forms 254 & 255 by close of business, November 25, 2002 to the Contracting Officer shown above. Award will be pending availability of funds. This is not an RFP.
