Description
This project involves construction of an automated heat exchanging installation to allow utilization of the waste heat in the M-Plant cooling water system to be used to heat Hangars #7 and #8. Main system components are five heat exchangers and two pumps in the M-plant, one air handler and two pumps in each of Hangar #7 and #8. Magnitude: $1,000,000-$5,000,000. The anticipated performance period is between Spring/Summer 2003 and October 2003. The summer at Thule Air Base is extremely short and shipment of materials can only take place in June/July. Special Note: All discussion leading to contract award shall take place at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy of the United States of America, Copenhagen, Denmark. All parties responding to this synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of subsequent discussions prior to award of contract are the sole responsibility of the interested parties. Interested parties can obtain a copy of the solicitation, specifications and drawings by requesting in writing to, Detachment 1, 21 Contracting Squadron, PSC 73, APO AE 09716 or Detachment 1, 21 Contracting Squadron, U.S. Embassy, Dag Hammarskjolds Alle 24, DK 2100 Copenhagen O, Denmark. Please provide your e-mail address. The solicitation and all specifications and drawings will be available electronically, however, they will also be made available via CD-ROM. If you require a CD-ROM, please contact this office at the e-mail address provided. The project can also be forwarded via courier service to interested parties cash on delivery (COD). The solicitation is restricted to interested parties in the United States, Denmark and Greenland only. Funds for this project are currently not available; funding is expected in January 2003. The solicitation is expected to be ready for release approximately 15 November 2002.
