Description
U.S. or foreign flag self sustaining vessel to move approximately 197 20ft TEU containers of ammunition as either a full or part cargo (all ammo to be stored under deck). Minimum speed of 13 knots is required. Approximately 102 containers will be discharged at the first Middle Eastern port, approximately 95 containers will be discharged at the second Middle East discharge port. Owner to confirm compliance with IMDG/49 CFR HAZMAT Regulations and potential shortfalls are to be identified (eg. A-60 Bulkhead). Vessel to have sufficient lashing gear, cargo tie-down points, appropriate spreader bars and lifting gear. Offeror must provide detailed ship drawings of vessel in order to prepare stow plans and crew list (including officers/crew by nationality) with offer to be considered for award. 2. CARGO DESCRIPTION: 197 20 ft (TEU) containers of ammunition (+/-10% chop) not including 25% broken stow First Discharge Port: 102 Containers (New 1.21 million/approximately 2116 short tons/approximately 1,735 MT) Second Discharge Port: 95 Containers (New 450,000/approximately 1957 short tons/approximately 1,064 MT) Hazardous material: Class: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 11 Armed Supercargoes will be required. Machine guns will be placed on starboard and port side of wing bridge and secure capacity for approximately 3,000 lbs of ammo associated with their weapons. 2a. Load: Free-in 2b.
