- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions for a period of up to three years under a new Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-03-R-4018 with Raytheon, Electronics Systems of 528 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776. The BOA provides for the issuance of multiple orders for studies, analysis, equipment changes and product improvements for the AN/SPS-49 (V) Radar. This includes conducting special studies, surveys, evaluations, and tests during installation and checkout (INCO) to determine the feasibilty and/or applicablity of proposed equipment changes. Orders will also be issued for material and services for maintenance and repair of the AN/SPS-49 (V) Radar. All materials and services incidental to such work (repair parts, components, accessories, documentation, associated tools, packing, packaging, marking of end items, etc.) are also incl uded. In appropriate cases, any repair alteration or overhaul may be handled by the issuance of an order to open and inspect equipment to determine the extent of work that the Contractor may be required to provide. Orders will be issued for installation and checkout (INCO) spares and repair parts for the AN/SPS-49 (V) Radar System. This includes the replenishment of existing INCO spares and repair parts in support of the AN/SPS-49 (V) and it's associated field changes. Orders will be issued for field engineering services and technical support services for the AN/SPS-49 (V) Radar System. The BOA allows for the placement of firm fixed-price (FFP) type contract or cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) type contract orders. Raytheon is the original designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/SPS-49 Radar System. Therefore, no other firm possesses the technical expertise neces sary to perform the work that will be required by the Government. The BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
