- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a sole source contract action to Microsoft for the acquisition of Microsoft Premier Support Services. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and the Government does not intend to issue a written solicitation. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation - ITA-2003-0064. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-09. This will be a firm fixed price contract. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Microsoft Corporation, 8050 Microsoft Way, Charlotte NC 28273. The requirement is for the renewal of Microsoft?s Premier Support Services, Account #64494, which provides technical support services, planning assistance, implementation, migration, software upgrades, and toll free hotline support 24 hours, 7 days a week for the period of November 2002 through November 2003. The Microsoft software upgrades are considered to be proprietary information. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency. The following FAR Clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Feb 2002) and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items (May 2002). Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications - Commercial Items (July 2002) with its offer. The following provision is applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (Oct. 2002). All offers shall be submitted to the address listed no later than November 12, 2002 at 9:00 am local time (Washington, DC). All proposals shall be clearly marked with RFQ-ITA-2003-0064. All offerors are hereby notified that if your offer is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in this notice, it will not be considered.
