Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the MINI DOCKSIDE for USCGC MELLON (WMEC 717). All work shall be performed at cutter homeport located in Seattle, Washington, during the period of February 04, 2003 and complete March 21, 2003. Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about November 19, 2002, with a closing date of December 18 2002. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work to be performed is crescent motor surf boat davit inspection and test, single point davit inspection and test level 2, electric motor overhaul, potable water pneumatic tank clean and inspect, warping capstan level 2 inspect and test, crescent davit hydro, temporary services. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
