- The USAF intends to acquire 10,533 each Augmentor Exhaust Nozzles, NSN 2840-01-456-0391NZ, P/N 4084790-01. Applicable to the F100 engine. Qualification Requirements are available. Original engine manufacturer is Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford CT. Approved sources are: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford CT & Dynamic Gunver Corp., Manchester CT. Item measures approx 20.6 inches long X 4.5 inches wide x 0.5 inches thick whose predominant material of manufacture is Nickel Alloy. Convergent seals limits the amount of exhaust gas pressure escaping between the convergent nozzle segments; the seal also has a heat resistant coating to help protect the nozzle from high exhaust temperatures. A fixed quantity type contract is contemplated. Required delivery is 600 each per month starting 12 months after award of contract and continuing at that rate until complete. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be condsidered by the agency. Number notes 22, 23 & 26 apply. The Government's required delivery schedule is changed to read: 1200 each per month staring 31 March 2003 and continuing at that rate until complete.
