- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Region IV, in accordance wi= th the Brooks Act and Part 36.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)= , is seeking a qualified firm to provide Land Survey Services (primarily ru= ral surveys) for the States of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama an= d Georgia. Tasks to be accomplished include, but are not limited to, (a) p= rovide geodetic control ties to all surveyed boundaries; (b) research deeds= , prior surveys, survey notes for subject tract(s) and adjoining parcels; (= c) run ties to controlling property corners; (d) traverse, mark boundaries= and monument corners; and (e) prepare plats, legal descriptions and report= s of survey. To be considered for evaluation, you must be licensed in the = State of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama or Georgia, or you will = be considered nonresponsible. ONE (1) INDEFINITE QUATITY CONTRACT WILL BE = AWARED FOR EACH STATE. The number and magnitude of projects to be undertak= en are dependent upon priority and availability of funds at the time of iss= uance of individual delivery orders. The term of the contract shall be one= year with four one-year options, with an anticipated start date of January= 16, 2003. The FWS will consider the immediate past 10 years as the period= of time for evaluation. The following evaluation factors will be used for= evaluation of submittals, and are in decending order of importance: (1) = Geographical location and familiarity of the area; (2) Professional qualif= ications and experience; (3) Rural boundary survey experience; (4) Past p= erformance in terms of cost control, quality of work and other experience; = (5) Type of field and office equipment available, include and version of t= he equipment, i.e., CADD Ver 12, etc; and, (6) Capacity to accomplish the = work within the required performance period. Firms responding to this noti= ce shall submit a Standard Form 254 and Standard Form 255, along with any i= nformation they deem to be of benefit to their firm. Additional informatio= n shall be limited to two 8 =BD x 11 pages. Information in excess of this = will not be considered. FIRMS SHALL SUBMIT THREE COPIES OF THEIR QUALIFICA= TIONS DIRECTLY TO: R4 - Division of Contracting and General Services, U.S.= Fish and Wildlife Service, ATTN: Roger L. Lockhart, 1875 Century Boulevar= d, Suite 310, Atlanta, Georgia 30345, not later than December 4, 2002, 3:30= p.m., EST. Offerors are cautioned that qualifications received after the = specified closing date may be considered late. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR P= ROPOSAL (RFP). This is a small business set-aside.
