Description
The United States Customs Service is seeking small businesses that are interested in providing marine maintenance services for the U.S. Customs National Marine Support Center (NMSC) located in St. Augustine, Florida. The current requirement provides for marine services at eight (8) locations in Florida, Mississippi, California, and Puerto Rico and involves fifty-five (55) contractor personnel. Although it is estimated that the requirement will increase in size, current funding levels are at three million dollars ($3,000,000.00) per year. All interested parties must submit a technical capability proposal in order to be considered. The technical proposal shall include as a minimum the following capabilities: 1. Ability to manage marine maintenance program in a broad range of geographic areas ranging from the west coast to the US Virgin Islands. 2. Ability to provide Mercury certified outboard/inboard-outboard/inboard engine applications. 3. Ability to operate Customs provided computerized vessel maintenance and inventory tracking system to effectively manage vessel maintenance/inventory/purchase/and equipment tracking. 4. Ability to effect vessel repairs in areas such as: fiberglass, electronics, electrical, trailer, fuel systems, accessory equipment, metal work, paint, complete engine rebuild, electronic engine diagnostics. 5. Ability to provide extensive data pertaining to trend analysis. 6. Ability to provide personnel capable of performing high-speed vessel sea trials.
