- Description
- The Government has a requirement for professional Architect/Engineeri= ng Services, to provide design for Project 621-03-101 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home (Johnson City) TN 37684. The A/E shall provide all architectural and engineering services necessary to design a project for Clinical Renovation of Buildings 69 and 77.=20 Project involves renovating approximately 35,000 SF of Buildings 69 and 77. The first floors of both buildings are to be renovated and/or remodeled to accommodate new and existing clinical functions. Designs shall include all necessary upgrades to existing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building accessories, as required. Work includes preliminary and final contract drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and construction period services. The A/E shall develop bid alternates as necessary to assure award of construction contract within available funds. Based on results of site investigation and evaluation, provide written recommendation with estimates to the Contracting Officer=92s Technical Representative (COTR) for review. The A/E shall design the project work in accordance with NFPA, National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, OSHA, VA Specifications, VA Standard Details, VA Construction Standards, AIA, and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Procurement is open to emerging and small businesses only. The NAICS Code is 541310.=20 Construction cost estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Award will be to the A/E firm judged by the VA to be the best qualified for the work. All design criteria for the Veterans Affairs is available at www.va.gov/facmgt/standard/standard.htm The selection criteria for this A/E contract shall include as a minimum (1) Experience in the type of work required (2) professional qualifications and experience of staff to be assigned to the project (3) ability to accomplish the work within required timeframes (4) past performance as related to the quality of work, meeting schedules, and keeping within scope and budget. See numbered note 24. Area of consideration is limited to a 150 mile radius from the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN=20 37684. Award is subject to the availability of funds. This is not a request for proposal and a solicitation document does not exist. All interested, responsible and qualified business firms shall submit three (3) copies of SF 254 and SF 255 to the attention of Kerwin H. Fulton (90C) at the above address.
