- Description
- NA Add/Alter BCE Complex (Bldg #25) at the 109th Airlift Wing, Scotia, NY 12302. Contractor shall provide all material, labor, supervision and means to construct a 11,560 SF addition and renovate 8,900 SF of an existing structure in accordance with plans and specifications provided by the government. The addition will house engineering and environmental functions and the renovation will include office space and maintenance shop areas. The renovation will include the construction of, and demoltion of interio r walls, electrical modifications, HVAC system renovation, fire alarm renovation, and equipment replacement. The addition portion of the project will include excavation and backfilling of building foundations, relocation of exisitng underground utilities, reinforced concrete foundations and slab on grade, masonry building construction, structural steel, interior and exterior finishes, the installation of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, and the construction of a 4000 sf masonry storage building . The performance schedule and all other elements of construction of this project will be closely coordinated with the Base Cicil Engineer. The anticpated construction period is 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. The issue date for this solicita tion is is scheduled for on or around 14 Nov 2002 with a bid opening date of on or around 19 December 2002. An organized site visit is scheduled for 4 December 2002 at 10:00 A.M. local time at the base. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. At tendees should meet at Building #25. Pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this soliciation is issued utilizing full and open competition with Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns as per FAR Claus e 52.219-4 which shall be contained within the solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code for this aquisition is 233320 with a small business size standard of $28,500,000. The estimated dollar magnitude of this projec t is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The specification book and drawings for this project will be issued via CD-ROM, paper copies will not be available. Each request must be made on company letterhead, and must contain the full company name, address, telephone and facsimile number and name and e-mail address of the person to contact. All reuqests for solicitation packages MUST be acocmpanied by a certified check, bank draft, or money order made payable to the U.S. Treasury. Uncertified company checks will not be accepted and returned without action.
