Description

This notice was modified to change the web address shown at the bottom of this document. The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) is seeking sources to manufacture spare parts for the B-1B Weapon System Platform. The spare parts will be arranged into Market Baskets that group together similar items based on shared attributes. Shared attributes may be based on similar manufacturing processes and/or materials. All parts are considered fully competitive and will be manufactured in accordance with technical data packages owned by the Government. DSCR is considering soliciting this acquisition as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. To set the acquisition aside, DSCR must determine if two or more small businesses are capable of manufacturing the spare parts contained in each Market Basket. Accordingly, DSCR is issuing a Request For Information (RFI) prior to issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP). Interested Small Businesses who have experience in manufacturing, supply chain management, materials requirement planning, and electronic commerce are requested to respond to the RFI no later than October 24, 2002. The RFI, along with the list of spare parts may be obtained by submitting an email to Jacquelyn Harris, email address Jacquelyn.Harris@dscr.dla.mil, phone number (804) 279-5232, fax number (804) 279-3715. Responses should also be emailed to this address.
