- Description
- The USCG MLCP in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract for the Drydock and Repair of the USCGC WALNUT (WLB 205), which is geographically restricted to a contractor facility in the State of Hawaii. Performance is expected to commence on 12 March 2003 and complete no later than 10 June 2003. The repair anticipated involves the following work items: Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart; Sea Trials; Appendages (U/W) Preserve, Internal; Chain Locker Clean & Inspect; Hull Plating, U/W Body Inspect; Hull Plating, U/W Body Ultrasonic Testing; Install Capac Anode Guards; Voids (Non-Accessible) Leak Test; Voids (Non-Accessible) Preserve, Internal; Appendage (U/W) Leak Test; Propulsion Shaft Rope Guards Inspect & Repair; Propulsion Shaft Seals Mechanical Overhaul & Inflatable Renewal; Propulsion Shaft Bearings (External) Check Clearances; Controllable Pitch Propeller System Maintenance; CPP Hub Seals and O-Rings Renewal/Replace; Propeller Clean and Inspect; Auxiliary Salt Water System Piping Modification; Auxiliary Salt Water System Piping Modifications; Fathometer Transducers General Maintenance; Hydraulic Systems Relief Valves Calibrate; Vent Ducts (Galley and Pantry Room All) Commercial Clean; Vent Ducts (Machinery Spaces, MMR & AMR) Commercial Cleaning; Sea Strainers (all sizes) Overhaul; Sea Valve (<= 2.5 Inches) Renewal; Sea Valve (>2.5 inches) Overhaul; P-250 Deck Suction; Firemain Valve (>= 2.5 inches) Inspection and Overhaul; Hydraulic Flush Buoy Deck Machinery Systems; Rudder Inspect and Repair; Rudder Stock Bearings Check Clearances; Thruster Unit (General) Inspection and Repair; Cross Deck Winches Level 2 Inspection and Repair; Hydraulic Chain Stopper Modifications; Hydraulic Inhaul and Chain Winch Level 2 Inspect and Repair; Modification of Chain In Haul Winch Pivot Arm; Replace Cross Deck Winches and Flag Blocks; Pad Eyes, Links, Gripes, Binders & Jacks Level 1 Inspect and Test; Anchor Chain And Ground Tackle Inspect And Repair; Anchor Windlass (Gen) Level 2 Inspect and Repair; Warping Capstan (Gen) Level 2 Inspect & Repair; Appleton Rad 30-15.5 Single Point Davit Level 2 Inspect & Repair; Hydraulic Cargo Hoisting Gear, Level 2 Repair and Test; Modify Buoy Crane Upper Control Cab; Cargo Hold Preservation; Chain Locker Preserve; Tanks (Clean Ballast) Preserve; Buoy Decks (Exterior) Preserve, 100%; Hull Plating, U/W Body Preserve, Partial; Cathodic Protection/Zincs Renewal; Crane Pedestal Preservation (Interior); Temporary Services Drydock Provide; Drydocking Accomplish. On or about 22 October 2002, a Request for Proposal will be issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (SBCDP).
