- Description
- This project involves the furnishing of all equipment, common and special tools, travel and incidentals necessary to perform factory recommended 11,000 hour Top End (First Interval) service, inspection, overhaul and rebuild procedures on (1) Coast Guard owned Caterpillar model 3512, serial number 67Z01064. All procedures to be as outlined in Caterpillar Publication SEBU6103 or current edition as well as other Caterpillar references and procedures. All parts shall be genuine Caterpillar Tractor Co. parts meeting all manufacturer original equipment specifications. All work shall be performed by a "Caterpillar Qualified" mechanic and must provide a copy of the mechanic's Caterpillar Qualifications Card. After completion of the overhaul, test run the engine generator under full load for four hours and verify factory-operating specifications. The project site is located at U. S. Coast Guard LORAN Station Port Clarence located at Point Spencer, Alaska approximately 65 miles northwest of Nome, Alaska. There is no overland access to Port Clarence; access is by barge or aircraft only. Generator is not to be disabled in the October 2002 through May 2003 timeframe. The work is to be accomplished during the months May 2003 through July 2003. This procurement is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program, public law 100-656, as implemented by the OFPP Policy Directive and Test Plan dated 8/31/89. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 235110 and the applicable size standard is $11.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years.
