Description
NA This procurement will include three items for the Chemical Agent Monitor detection equipment. 6665-01-382-8555, Nozzle Assembly, 6665-01-382-7081, Confidence Sample, 6665-01-382-7084, Filtered Nozzle Pack. This solicitation is restricted to American Techn ology Corporation (ATC), 2330 North Howard Street, Baltimore Maryland, 21218 due to provisions of FAR 6.205(a) and HUBZone Act of 1997 -- 15 U.S.C.657a. ATC is the only certified HUB Zone firm with such capability and a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license. Offers from concerns other than ATC are not solicited. This is published for subcontracting purposes only. This proposed action will result in a bundle buy with a five-year, firm fixed price, 100% HUBZone, requirements type contract. The propo sed contract will not include an option provision. The maximum estimated quantity for the Nozzle Assembly= 7,000ea, Confidence Sample =875ea and Filtered Nozzle Pack = 36,500ea. FOB is destination. The Filtered Nozzle Pack Assembly contains standoffs to prevent nozzle assembly from contamination by liquid agents. Standoffs are fitted with filters to prevent entrance of dust. There is no performance specification. This item will be made in accordance with technical data package (TDP) 442-546. The Nozzle As sembly draws in chemical agent vapors through this inlet for analysis by the Chemical Agent Monitor (CAM). A heater wire is wound around the tubular section of the molding. Shall meet the requirements of performance specification EA-PRF-2171. The Confidenc e Sample tests the CAM for its ability to detect G and H. The round cross section end marked G contains nerve agent simulant. The ribbed end marked H contains mustard agent simulant. Shall meet the requirements of performance specification EA-PRF-1581. A N uclear Regulatory commission (NRC) license is required for testing these items. A CAM shall be furnished for testing purposes. Estimated issue date is 22 Oct 02. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) an d 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This sol icitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/ receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. .
