Description
NA The project consists of deepening of the existing 35 feet (MLW) Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 43 feet (MLW) in area A and to a depth of 42 feet (MLW) in area B. The project area is located Arthur Kill Channel at New York, New Jersey Harb or. The Project consists of the dredging and disposal of non-rock and entire drilling, blasting, dredging and disposal of rock. The scope of work also includes the sampling testing of subsurface materials at locations. The non-rock materials unsuitabl e for the HARS placement will be disposed at the Government designated Upland Disposal Facility and Confined Disposal Facility of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey located at the entrance of Elizabeth Channel. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED .The estimated cost range is $ 50 million to 100 million dollars. The NAICS Code is 234990 with a small business size standard of $17.0 million dollars. Completion date is 330 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The media selected for the issuance of solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Papers of this solicitation and amendments if any will no t be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation at no charge at http://nan.usace.army.mil (contracting opportunities) Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navig ated or printed using Adobe Reader Minimum system requirements are 496-based personal computers. Microsoft windows 3.1or greater, 8 MB Application RAM.A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to this solicitation. Utilization of the internet is the preferred me thod; however, CD?s will be available upon written requested stating the solicitation number, project name, complete company name, and street address (we will not delivery to PO Boxes) telephone number, and facsimile numbers (including area codes) Make che cks payable in the amount of $10.00 to USAED New York, Solicitation documents for this work will be available on or about 23 October 2002. Closing date will be 30 days after issuing of solicitation or 22 November 2002. Registration requirements (DFARS) 254.204.7004 required Central contractor regis tration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the CCR database or will make an offeror ineligible for award.
