Description
The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to award a sole source purchase order to JSI Research and Training Institute. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of the Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Public Health and Science, Regional Health Administrator, Region 1. The Department of Health and Human Services, Regional Health Administration, Region 1 has a requirement to provide support for (1) overall coordination for the current diabetes activities in New England and (2) additional strategic activities which further a robust diabetes agenda of primary prevention, improved medical management and elimination of health disparities. GovWorks is going to award a purchase order to JSI Research and Training Institute, a non-profit public health organization to (1) assemble and manage regional planning committees and provide all content expertise and all meeting management services for the following events: primary prevention/overweight/obesity event, regional module on diabetes disparities for the New England Disparities Conference, and other various events; (2) facilitation services for community health center involvement in the Diabetes Health Disparities Collaborative; (3) establish and execute follow-up work plans for each event/forum. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 30 working days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
