- This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government intends to issue a draft RFP on or about November 1, 2002, for flight qualified Single Board Computers. The Government is planning to include in the draft RFP a requirement for the Contractor to use the Government's Unit or Measure of Performance (UMP) benchmark software during the test and verification process. Consequently, the Government is providing this software to all potential offerors at this time for review and comment on its compatibility with potential offerors' existing test systems. All qualified responsible sources may submit comments which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The Government's draft RFP, benchmark software, and any related documents will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 2000 and VxWorks Readable Data File (.dat) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=51 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit comments or questions. Comments or questions shall be submitted no later than October 21, 2002. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the draft RFP. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the draft RFP, benchmark software, and any related documents.
