- Description
- Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, incidentals and performance of operations necessary to repair the Kansas street at McConnell AFB, KS 67221. The principal items of work shall include, but are not limited to the following: Existing four lane Portland Cement Concrete road is to be demolished and replaced with lime stabilized subgrade, new curb and gutter, and Asphaltic Concrete (AC) pavement. Various other work includes but is not limited to installing PCC pavement intersections with paver sidewalks, installing PCC intersection road approaches, replacing and/or installing new drainage inlets and pipe, moving existing overhead power poles and lines, filling, regrading and seeding unpaved areas, installing pavement markings, replacing and/or installing new traffic signs, replacing and/or installing new sidewalk and curb ramps, moving existing traffic signal light poles, and upgrading traffic signal controls from a loop detection system to a camera detection system. The performance period for this project will be 180 calendar days. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP), Price Performance Trade-Off (PPTO) solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. The Magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. The solicitation will be issued on or about 15 July 02 with anticipated closing date of 15 August 02 via Electronic Posting System (EPS) which can be accessed at www.eps.gov. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation or planholders list. No official bidders mailing list will be maintained. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package and planholders list will not be honored. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three (3) weeks to process. CCR registration may be accomplished via the World Wide Web at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil/ or http://acq.osd.mil/ec/ or contact telephonically at 1-800-334-3414. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the EPS site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. A site visit will be conducted on or about 1 August 02 at McConnell AFB. Notice to offerors; funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation/RFP either before or after the bid opening/RFP closing date.
