Description
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) requires services for the exclusive long-term safe layberth for six (6) RRF vessels comprised of three (3) Cape H class RO/ROs (Geographic area of consideration - Entire West Coast including Puget Sound), the Cape Orlando RO/RO (Geographic area of consideration - West Coast from San Diego to Oregon, including Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA), GTS Admiral William M. Callaghan (Geographic area of consideration - West Coast from San Diego to Oregon, including Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA) and one (1) OPDS tanker (Geographic area of consideration - specific locations unconfirmed but will be on the U.S. West Coast). The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. It is anticipated that the invitation for bid (IFB) will permit an alternate bid on a period of performance with one three-year base period with seven (7) one-year options. An IFB will be available on or about November 26, 2002 at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The bid opening will be conducted on or about December 30, 2002 at 2:00pm local time. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a bid, which will be considered by MARAD.
