- Description
- The USDA, Forest Service, Southwestern Region, 333 Broadway SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 solicits the services of Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms. A&E firms will be required to perform services in and around National Forest lands in Arizona, New Mexico, and the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma. The Government intends to award one (1) A&E contract from this solicitation. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, firm-fixed price contract with up to four optional years. The annual minimum will be $1,000.00 per year. The maximum for the contract with all optional years will be $1,000,000.00. The types of work to be performed under this contract are: geotechnical engineering professional services including, but not limited to, the sub-surface geotechnical investigations for USDA Forest Service owned roads, bridges, buildings, water/wastewater systems and other facilities; materials source evaluations, construction materials testing, retaining wall design, failure analysis and recommendations for repair and modifications. Related services incidental to the contract may include site surveys, other engineering and drafting services necessary to complete the project requirements. The evaluation factors are: 1. Specialized Design Experience - Provide examples of specific knowledge and experience related to the specific professional discipline of work. 2. Past Performance on Contracts - Describe past performance on Government and private contracts that relates to the performance of the firm on projects similar to those described in this announcement, including name and telephone number of the person who was the point of contact for the contract. 3. Specialized Experience and Technical Competence - Identify and describe the key personnel whose professional registration, specialized experience and technical competence will be used to perform the work on this contract. 4. Capacity and Timeliness - Describe the capacity to accomplish the work in a timely manner and the ability to manage larger multi-phase projects or manage multiple small projects. 5. Knowledge of Locality and Geographic Proximity to Arizona/New Mexico; 6. Price. Selection criteria 1 and 2 are of equal importance and more important than the other criteria. The other criteria?s are shown in descending order of priority. Those firms interested in responding to this announcement must submit Standard Form 255 Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project by December 2, 2002.
